I Choose y...Oh My GAWD!!!...

Hey everyone. I originally wasn't going to post this until the Pokemon Battle Royale show, but a lot of the other contributors were revealing their works and I got all excited to show mine ahead of time. Ha.
I was excited to get to do Charizard. Just this giant, bad ass fire breathing dragon thing that would never lose a fight. Then from what I saw of the cartoon they made his personality out to be this cocky asshole who would burn the crap out of Ash every chance he got. I tried to capture a little bit of that personality in this piece. I also loved playing around with the color on this one with the mixes of purples and greens instead of just making it orange. I hope you fans out there feel I did Charizard justice in this rendering and if you get the chance come to the show. It's going to be a huge amount of nerdy fun.

Keeping Organization Fun...

WHA?!?! I haven't posted in too long. I've been working on some arts that should be up super duper soon. In the mean time here's a goofy little thing. At work I have these huge binders of art that I have to keep organized by season/set date. I needed to make a label for my most recent set so here it is...in the theme of Metroid.

Weekend Monster! 08...fail...

Well I don't always draw perfect the first time! So here was where WM! 08 was going, but it sort of crashed and burned at this point. I just didn't like the pose, color, ink work...pretty much everything. I still like the concept but I think I need to go another direction with it. This is not the final WM! 08 but I will post the failed first attempt. Hopefully the second attempt is super awesome.


The truck looks bad too. Ha.

I Choose You!...

I am super excited for the upcoming Pokemon Battle Royal show hosted by my amazing friends at Light Grey Art Lab. I was lucky enough to nab the baddest of bad dude Pokemon Charizard! I'll admit it's gonna tough to capture just the right pose and emotion for such a beast, but I'm up to the challenge. After many attempts I'm finally on the right path. Below is a little sneak peek (and the only image I'll show until the show).

Weekend Monster! 07...

FINALLY DONE!! For whatever reason number seven took me forever. I think partly because I had a really different vision in my head, but then as I was making it, it changed significantly. The car, a Rolls Royce Phantom, was super boring to draw as well. It is done and now posted so enjoy!
